Before you apply to Eden Christian Hostel make sure you have a good look around this website and our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you have the opportunity, please come and visit the Hostel.

We organise tours of the Hostel during the University of Auckland and AUT Open day each year (this year it falls on Saturday, 29th August). You will be shown around the Hostel by one of our current student RAs, and also have the opportunity to ask questions about living at ECH. We prefer to schedule tours in order to give intending residents and their family the best possible experience of the Hostel. However if this is not practical then another time can be arranged to visit, at a time suitable for everyone – just get in touch.

Application process:

Applications for accommodation in 2027 are now open. Hostel accommodation is prioritised for first year, full-time tertiary students, for the 38 week academic year.

Begin by completing the online application form, accessed by clicking the link on this page. Please pay the $80 application fee (non-refundable) into the Hostel Bank Account, and email or post two character references (refer to application form).

The applications will be acknowledged, and a questionnaire will be emailed to the applicant to be completed and returned. Then we will proceed through the other steps of the application process.
